Memorable Mother’s Day Activities in North Kitsap

Celebrating Mother’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to show all of the moms in our lives how much we appreciate them. Whether they are our own mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, or motherly figures, they impact us in so many ways. Below are some special activities in North Kitsap to make it a memorable day.

Mother’s Day Sweet Tea to Go

Save yourself the prep time and order everything you need for a fancy tea party at home – or better yet, plan a picnic! These adorable kits from Sweet Life Cakery in Kingston come with one of their famous Sweet Blisses (mini chocolate cakes with cream filling), a lemon scone, shortbread, and a wonderful tea. Grab a couple for the special motherly figures in your life, or treat yourself!

Order by May 7th to pick up on May 11th.

Cost: $15 per kit (gluten-free option also available)

Suquamish Museum Visit & Make a Card

Plan a trip to the Suquamish Museum between May 5th and May 12th to learn more about the rich heritage of the Suquamish people and make a beautiful Mother’s Day card for free. The Museum Gift Shop is a great place to find a unique gift, too!

Museum Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Cost: $6 to $8 per person. Children under 5 and Suquamish tribal members are free.

The Little Mermaid

Spend the day at the theater enjoying “The Little Mermaid”, presented by Kitsap Children’s Musical Theatre. Whether you attend the show on Mother’s Day, or give tickets to see a performance on another day, it’s a great way to spread the joy of live theater and support the arts.

Show Dates: May 2nd – 19th

Cost: $14 – $18 per person

Spring Market, Plant Sale & Garden Tea

On Friday, May 10th, and Saturday, May 11th, enjoy an open-house-style market at Willow & Mabel Garden Co. in Poulsbo. There will be many plant starts and flowers to choose from. Additionally, you can purchase items from Willow & Mabel and Ciderpress Lane. The market is free to attend. If you’re interested in upgrading, buy tickets for the Spring Tea event for a full English tea experience on the farm with two booking options each day.

Friday & Saturday, May 10th & 11th. Free Market 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Spring Tea: 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM on both days.

Cost: $85

Bubbly for Mom

Get a head start on celebrating Mother’s Day by going to High Spirits in Poulsbo for a Sparkling Wine Tasting in their beautiful wine cellar. Choose your favorite and purchase a bottle for your Mother’s Day brunch. After the tasting, you can also go upstairs to enjoy a gourmet dinner at Crabtree Kitchen + Bar.

Saturday, May 11th, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

This annual event usually sells out, so make sure to purchase your tickets in advance. Enjoy a large buffet-style meal, including salmon, prime rib, salads, breakfast pastries, and decadent desserts. There’s also a cash bar with mimosa and bloody mary specials.
